THIS weekend drivers are warned to plan their journeys carefully as Air Products dispatches a sizeable load from its manufacturing facility in Acrefair.
The item in question is a High Pressure/Low Pressure column box measuring 53 metres in length, 5.1 metres wide and 5.5 metres high and weighing 150 tonnes which is being transported to the Ellesmere Port dock complex where it will be loaded onto a ship bound for Saudi Arabia.
In North Wales delays will be restricted to Saturday.
The box will leave Acrefair at 8am, travelling along the A539 on to the A483 northbound entry slip road.
There it will reverse south across the roundabout and continue in reverse south to the contraflow on the northbound exit slip road.
It will then drive forward northbound on the A483 before turning right onto the A539, left towards Wrexham on the A528, right again onto the B5426, another right onto the A525 towards Whitchurch before travelling up the A41 and finally stopping overnight in Whitchurch.
On Sunday it will complete its journey to Ellesmere Port.
