CONWY & Denbigh- shire and North East Wales NHS Trusts have merged to form the North Wales NHS Trust

The merger has created an integrated trust providing hospital, community and mental health services for a popula- tion of more than 520,000 people across four counties – Wrexham, Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire.Š

The trust has an annual budget of approximately £440m and employs more than 11,000 staff.ŠŠ

The first board meeting was held at Glan Clwyd Hospital last week.

Mary Burrows, former chief executive of North East Wales NHS Trust, has been appointed as chief executive.
