AN Ellesmere Port woman has been honoured at the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) annual awards ceremony, during NHS Week.

Linda Leask, 40, is CWP’s membership recruitment officer and won the Promoting CWP award at the ceremony in New Brighton.

Linda, whose job involves travelling across Cheshire and Wirral encouraging members of the public, service users and carers to become members of the Foundation Trust, said: “Every member matters and having a large and vibrant membership ensures that there is local involvement in different aspects of service development.”

The Ellesmere Port-based members of the Leaning Disability Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services also took the team award for providing a high-quality, accessible and innovative service for children and young people with severe learning disabilities.

This year’s ceremony also saw six people from Ellesmere Port receive awards for 30 years service and one for 20 years.

More than 30 others were presented with certificates of commendation in recognition of gaining NVQs and other learning qualifications.
