MOULTON Drama Group turns the clock back to Tudor England for a costume drama at the village hall next week about the life and times of Katherine Howard.
The play opens on the wedding night of Henry VIII and his fourth wife Anne of Cleves, and closes with the execution of his fifth wife Katherine Howard after she was found guilty of adultery.
Drama group spokesman Derek Morris described the play by William Nicholson, who wrote Shadowlands, as pure theatrical magic.
“The play has it all. There is a touching May-to-September romance as well as political intrigues, plots and betrayals.”
The production is at the village hall in Main Road from Tuesday, March 11 until Saturday, March 15. Tickets are priced £6, concessions £4.50 and the box office is on 01606 594190. Tickets are also available by e-mail at email@example.com.
