VALE Royal’s biggest and most successful residents group has vowed to fight on after leaders had a change of heart.

Winsford’s Grange Residents Association, chaired by Mike Kennedy, was set to disband after eight years but has decided to carry on due to public demand.

Mr Kennedy said: “The residents are concerned not enough issues are being addressed by other parties.

“We can’t just ignore the public. There are too many issues and too many people for us to just walk away. All the committee felt the same way.”

The association held emergency meetings on February 24 and March 10 and the official election of a new committee will take place at the estate’s next police community action meeting.
