PARENTS and friends of Great Budworth Primary School were out in force for a fundraising ‘Auction of Promises’ last night, Thursday.
Celebrity auctioneer Adam Partridge from TV’s ‘Flog It’ had volunteered to hammer down the lots for the occasion and, by kind agreement of Viscount Ashbrook, the school was able to hold the event in the splendid surroundings of Arley Hall.
The 50 lots for auction included something for everyone’s tastes – ranging from holiday accommodation to meals out to beauty treatments. The evening raised a total of £5,500 for the school’s funds.
Earlier this year Ofsted inspectors described Great Budworth as “a good school, improving rapidly under strong guidance and leadership”.
