THE National Federation of Women's Institutes-Wales' 81st Annual Conference will be held at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells.

The theme of the conference on April 13 is milestones.

The conference will be addressed by three distinguished journalists:

Kate Adie, author and broadcaster, familiar to many people as the BBC's chief news correspondent. Kate will speak on Milestones for women and equality.

Dei Tomos, well-known Welsh language journalist and broadcaster, working mainly for BBC Wales on agricultural and rural issues. His talk is entitled The Next Mile.

Carolle Doyle, freelance journalist writing on travel for The Sunday Telegraph and HSBC Premier magazine and on wine, country matters and gardens for the NFWI magazine, Home & Country.

Melanie Taylor, NFWI's public relations manager, will also address the conference and will discuss the future of PR for the WI.

A Pilgrimage to Anglesey will also be launched.
