GOLFERS can sample four of North Wales’s most challenging courses thanks to the launch of a new golf pass.
The North Wales Borderlands Golf Passport is valid for 12 months and allows golfers to play four rounds at a choice of 18-hole courses from £72.
Pass holders can choose from Mold and Old Padeswood golf clubs, Clays Golf Centre Wrexham and Denbigh Golf Club.
The clubs have teamed-up in a bid to emulate similar pass schemes.
Rob Jones, director of Old Padeswood Golf Club, said: “Golf passes were first introduced in Scotland many years ago and are still going strong.
“It’s a simple idea really – clubs group together to offer discounted green fees in a bid to attract more visitors.
“The customer is given a booklet containing tear-off vouchers, which they can use to play the courses involved in the scheme.”
The four clubs have also teamed up with Wrexham Golf Club and local hotels to offer ‘play and stay’ short breaks to the area, with golfers able to play two courses and stay overnight from £73 per person.
