A HIGH school has received a prestigious arts honour for the third time.

Ellesmere Port Specialist School of Performing Arts (EPSSPA) was presented with the Artsmark Gold award, which recognises schools that have made a strong commitment to the arts.

The arts officer who visited the school was impressed with the breadth of provision across the curriculum, the opportunities EPSSPA pupils have and the links the school has developed with other schools, local artists and organisations.

Headteacher Chris Needham said: “Our pupils really enjoy the experiences we offer and have achieved outstanding success in all three Arts subjects; Dance, Drama and Music.

“We are thrilled to be recognised once again for our efforts.”

The aim of Artsmark is to raise the profile of arts education across the country.
