YES, I know Jose Mourinho’s free, but we’ve got a manager thank you.

And I think we’ve all got to remember that.

I’ve even seen fans on messageboards drawing up lists of people they’d like to take over the club, but this is all too premature.

We’ve had a bad start to the season – I think that’s evident to everyone (not least Big Bri) – but we are only five games into a very long season.

Against Rotherham we were clueless, but things did pick up against Macclesfield.

Silvio Spann seems to be a good signing, while Mike Carvill showed well in his first start of the season.

We’ll have a back four for today’s game, and a certain Juan Ugarte.

No one polarises opinion like the man from Sociedad at the moment.

He’s been injured for two years, but last season he was inexplicably given a two-year deal.

Since then all we’ve had is a few reserve matches from him and many think he has been an expensive mistake.

However, we all know that a fully-fit and goal-hungry Juan Ugarte can be a formidable weapon.

He’s had a bad knee injury, but as long as he can still run about, he can get you goals.

It doesn’t matter if he’s lost pace, because he never had much anyway.

Juan is a fox in the box, and you’d hope he’d still have the fitness to do that.

It’s not like he grabbed games by the scruff of the neck, he’d just nip in at opportune times and get you a goal.

And they win games.

Now my other concern is that we have lost some of the creativity we had when Juan was such a sensation last time.

But get the ball into the box and Juan can put it away.

And Stockport are already be scared stiff of him.
