THE Pioneer is asking for your help in finding new homes for six abandoned puppies and dogs.

Back in August we appealed to readers to give homes to four young Staffordshire-cross terriers left abandoned in a bin-liner.

And thanks to your generosity the pups are now having the time of their lives.

As a result Carol Davies, of Wirral-based charity Dogs in Distress, has contacted us in the hope of a repeat performance.

The healthy pups four of which are pictured are Jack, a four-year-old brown and white Jack Russell; Blade, an 11-month-old cross-breed; Skye, a 14-month-old border cross terrier; Ali, a 16-month-old collie cross-breed; Gizmo, a 14-week-old Jack Russell; and Holly, a seven-month-old cross-breed.

All are desperate to find loving new homes after a difficult start to their lives.
