A TEENAGE girl was grabbed and threatened with a knife during a post office robbery in Warrington.

The 13-year-old was waiting to be served when two men burst into the post office on Knutsford Road, Latchford, at around 3.25pm yesterday.

One man grabbed her and held the knife to her body while demanding cash from the postmaster.

He also carried a white plastic bag which he implied contained a gun, and smashed a counter window.

The raiders fled empty-handed in a white, 5-door hatch-back Cavalier driven by a third man in the direction of the Black Bear area.

The girl and the postmaster, and another 13-year-old girl and the postmaster's wife, were uninjured but shaken.

The first man is white, about 25, 5ft 8ins, with collar length straggly brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warrington CID on 01925 652 222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
