TATTON Park is offering visitors the chance to learn from an expert gardener.

An Audience with Sam Youd will take place at the venue on Friday, May 30.

As part of its contributions to Cheshire’s Year of Gardens ’08, Tatton Park will be hosting an exclusive evening with Mr Youd, manager of the award-winning gardens at this Cheshire estate.

The evening starts at 6pm with Pimms on the Italian terrace and an opportunity for guests to explore the gardens ‘after-hours’.

They will then be directed to the Tenants’ Hall to enjoy Bothies, Bell Jars and brussels sprouts, as Tatton’s green-fingered guru, shares amusing stories, inside knowledge, and experience gained in over 45 years in gardening.

Mr Youd said: “Gardening is infectious and I’m really looking forward to passing on the plague to a few more people!

“Even after 45 years gardening and 29 years here at Tatton, there is still so much more to learn.

“This is a great opportunity for me share my enthusiasm for gardening and for us all to join in with an enjoyable evening.”

An Audience with Sam Youd begins at 6pm.

Ticket prices are £20 per person, including Pimms refreshments, garden entry and the audience session.
