GARDENING staff at Arley Hall are busy preparing a scaled-down version of the famous scented walled garden to enter the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park.

It is the first time Arley has taken part in the show and the exhibit is designed to provide inspiration to people with smaller gardens.

The garden has been designed in connection with the Leonard Cheshire Disability charity, and is intended to show how a garden can be made suitable for wheelchair access.

Patrick Swann, head gardener at Arley, said: “The work we have done with Leonard Cheshire Disability is a fantastic opportunity to show how an innovative and beautifully designed garden can also be practical and suitable for everyone to enjoy.”
