A GANG attack in Smallbrook Road in Whitchurch has left a 19-year-old man in hospital with serious head injuries.
A group of six thugs went on the rampage with metal bars and bottles at about 2.20am on Saturday.
The area was cordoned off until Saturday afternoon and CID officers were brought in straight away.
Police have made no arrests thus far and are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to call them on 08457 444 888.
The teenager injured in the brawl was initially taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
But he has since been moved to the high dependency unit at the University of North Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent where he is in a stable condition.
