A MIDNIGHT football feast for videogame fans is on offer at the Port Arcades.

Gamestation and the Port Arcades Shopping Centre in Ellesmere Port will be celebrating the release of the FIFA 12 video game launch with a midnight opening on September 29.

The following day gamers and shoppers are invited to enjoy a free FIFA 12 gaming day.

Organised by Gamestation, there will be game pods linked up to play FIFA 12, the latest in the popular football series.

A dedicated store in The Port Arcades Shopping Centre will be transformed into a gaming room for the day and will host a free to enter competition.

Hundreds of pounds worth of prizes, giveaways and goodies will be up for grabs. Staff from Gamestation will also be on hand to offer tips about FIFA 12 and other games.

Assistant store manager Bill Alvers said: “We are really excited to have this opportunity to offer people a gaming day in the Port Arcades.

“Gamestation was set up for gamers and to be able to give people the chance to link up and play is great. In the future we are looking to expand on this with a wider range of events and initiatives.”

The Port Arcades spokeswoman Michelle Pickstock said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to see what all the fuss about the game is - to come along and have a go.”

The store will be open from 11pm on September 29 until 1am on September 30, reopening at 9am.
