THE laughs will come thick and fast at a comedy night on Friday.

Four comedians are promising an evening of outrageous wit and risqué humour at the Purple Cactus Comedy Club in Northwich Memorial Hall.

Comic and compère Barry Castagnola will be mixing up personal anecdotes with sharp political observations in his satirical set.

Barry launched his stand-up career six years ago by charming his way onto the Comedy Store stage in Los Angles – and hasn’t looked back.

Following on from Barry’s pithy humour is comedy veteran Gordon Southern, a master of observational humour and audience banter.

Making people laugh professionally for over 20 years, Gordon Southern recently played to packed crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The third comedian to step onto the stage will be self-proclaimed ‘campaigner of tomfoolery’ Danny James who delights in the cheeky and the ludicrous.

Completing the Purple Cactus quartet is Comedy Store and Jongleurs regular Tony Law whose laid back style has earned him applause around the globe.

The night of wise-cracking fun is on Friday, from 7.30pm at the Memorial Hall in Chesterway.

Tickets cost £10 and can be bought online at www.valeroyal.gov.uk or from the box office on 01606 867539.
