GROUNDWORK Wrexham & Flintshire has been contracted by Mersey Waste Holdings Associates Ltd to administer the company’s Landfill Community Fund for community environmental regeneration projects in Wrexham County Borough.
The funding can support projects that meet the requirements of the ENTRUST Object D category – “providing or maintaining a general public amenity” in the vicinity of the Hafod Landfill Site.
The trust looks forward to working with community groups to provide support in the development and implementation of environmental projects in the Hafod area and to receiving applications to the fund at the earliest opportunity and by Friday, September 12, at the latest
Helen Prince, operations director–deputy executive director for Groundwork, said: “This is a major opportunity for groups to achieve substantial environmental improvements in their locality and we would welcome contact from interested parties on 01978 757524.”
