THE Cheshire Landscape Wardens session that was cancelled due to the bad weather has now been rearranged for Saturday, February 16, in Ellesmere Port.

The practical session will undertake tree and hedgerow planting and other conservation tasks, and there will also be a session with Jeff Clarke on invasive species, an increasingly common problem of landscape management throughout Cheshire.

The event will take place at Rivacre Valley Local Nature Reserve, which has more than 400 acres of mixed deciduous woodland and wildflower meadows and follows the course of Rivacre Brook.

Attendees should meet at the ranger cabin next to the car park at 10am and the event will be concluded by 4pm.

The event is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided but you will need to book.

Suitable clothing, including sturdy footwear, is essential.
