AN AFTERNOON of free family fun and the chance to enter your pet into a dog show is on offer at Stanney Fields Park, Neston, next weekend.

On Saturday, September 29, visitors will be able to enjoy a dog agility display and taster session and pet charity Pets as Therapy will have a stand at the event.

Dogs can be entered into a number of competition categories including happiest dog, best female and best male. All dogs are welcome.

Organised by the Friends of Stanney Fields Park, the event has been sponsored by Bargain Booze Little Neston, with prizes, rosettes and a ‘best in show’ trophy up for grabs.

The event is free, although donations are welcome toward future park events.

Local member councillor Andy Williams, who will be attending the event, said: “We’re looking for dogs of all shapes and sizes to enter and people are welcome to come along to watch even if they don’t have a dog.”

Visitors can register their dogs for the show’s competitions from at 2pm, with the show starting at 3pm.
