TRAINING is on track for a group of dedicated people from the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford as the 2012 London Marathon fast approaches.

It is a particularly poignant year for 14 runners, who will complete the 26.2-mile course a few months before the Olympics take place in the capital.

Each of the runners are aiming to raise a minimum of £1,500 for the hospice.

If you would like to support them in their gruelling efforts please go to www.justgiving.com and take a look at their individual pages where you can make an online donation to the runner of your choice, simply type in their full name.

Alternatively you can call 01244 851811.
