OFFICERS from Wrexham CID and the neighbourhood policing team have been cracking down on burglary in Wrexham.

The combined efforts have led to four people being arrested, with inquiries ongoing thanks to information being received from the public.

Three of the four have been bailed pending further inquiries, with one remaining in custody as of Monday.

Detective Inspector Dave Roome said: “The public should be reassured we are taking all possible steps to prevent burglaries from happening.

“There is a large team of detectives, supported by community police officers and police community support officers, who are all working to catch offenders.

“No-one deserves to be the victim of burglary and if the public take sensible precautions and continue to give us information, I am confident we will stop further offences from happening.”

Policing teams have been conducting high visibility patrols in and around the Caia Park area.

This has been supported by early morning operations targeting suspects.

The local Community Safety Partnership is also implementing measures to make it harder for burglars to operate.
