LOSTOCK Gralam kept their promotion dream intact after scoring six of the best on the road in Cheshire League Division Two.

The second-placed Grey Lambs won 6-1 at Maine Road Reserves on Saturday and are now 11 points behind champions Golborne Sports.

If they win their remaining fixtures then the Manchester Road club will be promoted as league runners-up.

Saturday’s goals were scored by Dom Johnson (2), Anton Palmer (2), Steve Astbury and Liam Sharples.

The result follows last Thursday’s remarkable 9-4 win over Denton Town with goals coming from Johnson (2), Mike Butters (2), Nadgy Khirat, Palmer (2), Sharples and Astbury.

Lostock travelled to Poynton last night and on Saturday they face Denton again away from home (3pm).

Barnton failed to repeat last week’s winning performance on Saturday as they went down 3-2 at fourth-placed Rylands/Crosfields.

Goals from Dean Mundy and Dean Jones were not enough for Barnton who end their season on Saturday at Billinge (3pm).
