A DARTS league has raised £500 for Nightingale House Hospice.

The Marstons' Winter Darts League has 12 member teams from pubs in the Wrexham area and cash was raised through weekly 'subs' paid by teams during the season, which runs from November to May.

League organisers, Alison Stubbs and John Richards presented the cheque to hospice fundraiser Menai Owen-Jones at the league's finals night in the Queen's Head, Bradley.

Menai said: 'We are grateful to members for continually supporting Nightingale House. Every year they raise hundreds for the Hospice. Without the support of local people we could not maintain and develop our specialist care services.'

League members also donated £100 to the Shooting Star Unit at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
