THE sky is the limit now for a high-achieving Neston air cadet.

Flight Sergeant Tom Outram of 2375 (Neston) Squadron has earned his silver wings, enabling him to fly solo in a glider.

He has also recently received his Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, having undertaken a number of activities, including a 30-mile hike over a three-day expedition where he demonstrated his ability in map reading skills, field craft and being able to work well as part of a team.

Tom has also shown skills in other sections, such as helping people and the community, discovering new hobbies and interests, and developing sporting activities.

If you’re aged between 13 and 20 and think you’ve got what it takes to become part of a successful team, the cadets meet on Tuesdays and Thurs- days from 7-9.30pm at Tanks Field, Church Lane, Little Neston.

The squadron’s next intake evening takes place on Tuesday, May 19.
