ANDY FLEMING scored the only goal in Wrexham’s mini-derby victory last night.

The midfielder fired home on 60 minutes, spinning on to a knock-down from Mike Williams seven yards out after Johnny Hunt had crossed into the Chester area.

Club captain Neil Roberts came through the game unscathed, suffering no reaction after making his first competitive start in nearly four months following an ankle injury.

But the win was marred when Alex Darlington, who replaced Roberts in the 64th minute, was taken to hospital with a suspected fracture of the leg in the last minute.

Chester had Kally Camara sent off on the stroke of half time after he fouled Jamie Reed when the young striker was clear on goal.

Wrexham took advantage in the second half as they pressed forward.

But they endured a late scare when Chester’s Wayne Morgan curled round the post on 81 minutes.
