REPRESENTATIVES from Cheshire West and Chester Council will join housing providers and advisers at a first-time buyers’ fair at Chester Racecourse on Saturday.
The event, aimed at first-time buyers and anyone looking for a new home, will be set around exhibitions from local estate agents, house builders, solicitors, housing associations, mortgage advisors and council officers.
There will be information and short seminars on the many different types of mortgage available, the house buying process and affordable housing options, building or renovating a home, the legal process and home energy efficiency.
Cheshire West and Chester Council officers will be on hand to advise on affordable housing. The council has pledged to improve the availability and choice of affordable and appropriate housing, especially for first-time buyers and people who cannot get access to the local housing market.
Prosperity portfolio holder Cllr Herbert Manley said: “We’d encourage as many potential first time buyers as possible and anyone else looking to move to come to this fair at the Roodee.”
