MORE than 120 talented youngsters are heading to Ellesmere Port Civic Hall to perform in a dance extravaganza.

I am a dancer takes place from Thursday, September 23, to Saturday, September 25, at 7pm and will feature Jazz, Modern, Ballet and Street dance routines.

It is the sixth annual show produced and choreographed by First Footers Dance founder Gail Rowe.

The event will feature young people aged four to 20 years-old performing routines to music by Lady Gaga, Dizzee Rascal, Elbow, Guns and Roses and The Black Eyed Peas.

Gail, 29, is a professionally trained dancer and teacher who has performed all over the world in shows and on board cruise ships.

She has been planning the show for members of her first footers dance company over the past 12 months.

Gail said: “We have been working hard to prepare for the show in weekly classes and summer schools.

“Costumes have been purchased through fundraising events such as bag packing and a special show.

“All performers have been dedicated and committed to producing a high quality, energetic and dynamic production building on the successes of previous years.

“The show is an opportunity to showcase the talent of the local area and learn and perform routines to a professional standard.”

Tickets are available from Ellesmere Port council offices in Civic Way or by calling 0151 355 7652
