STAFF and pupils at St Bede’s Catholic Primary School in Weaverham headed off for their summer holidays on a high after receiving a glittering report from Ofsted.
Inspectors described the school as outstanding in all major areas and praised teaching standards and pastoral care.
“These very positive outcomes for pupils are the result of a combination of important factors: teaching is excellent throughout the school; the curriculum matches pupils’ needs and interests extremely well; high quality pastoral care helps them to feel secure and ready to learn; generally effective academic guidance enables them to move their learning forward.
“Pupils say they find their learning interesting and fun. This is clearly evident in lessons, where they quickly become engaged and absorbed in their activities.
Headteacher Eileen Livesey was also praised for her clear sighted leadership supported by a strong team.
Mrs Livesey said she was delighted put the school’s success down to a combination of hard work by all concerned plus tremendous support from the governors and parents.
