DERBY rivals Llangefni and Caernarfon are both desperate for a win in their first-ever clash at Talwrn Road tonight.

Welsh Premier newcomers Llangefni remain pointless after five outings, while Caernarfon had their five-match unbeaten record smashed by Rhyl in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat.

Home manager Adie Jones and six of his players have all been on the books at The Oval – notably winger Chris Jones, one of the Canaries’ top performers last season.

Back in contention for Cefni will be keeper Farai Jackson, captain Graham Austin, Adrian Jones and Danny Roberts.

Caernarfon have three injury and illness doubts in captain Eifion Jones, James Glendinning and Kieron Quinn.

Glendinning missed the Rhyl game with a chest infection, while Quinn and Jones both have hamstring problems.

Canaries striker Paul Addo returns after a one-match ban.

Boss Steve O’Shaughnessy said: “That defeat to Rhyl was our first disappointment for some time. We want to put it behind us – and what better way than to collect three points straight away.”
