CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service has a special Christmas offer for anyone joining its user feedback organisation by next week.

As part of its commitment to listening to the views of the community the service runs a residents’ consultation panel known as Response.

Set up last year, it gives residents a chance to have their say about how the service operates.

Currently, the panel has almost 400 members but the service reckons it needs 600 people to make it fully representative of the whole community in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.

And that’s why it has launched a recruitment campaign, complete with a special seasonal incentive. Anyone who joins the panel by December 19 will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 in Marks & Spencer vouchers, £100 in Toys R Us vouchers or £100 towards a meal at a venue of their choice.

A special Christmas card with information about Response and some vital fire safety messages has been sent randomly to 2,500 properties throughout Cheshire.

If people have not received a card, they can also join via the service’s website at www.cheshirefire.gov.uk

The draw will be made next Wednesday and the service promises the winner will get their prize before Christmas.

All completed printed forms should be sent to FREEPOST, Cheshire Fire Consultation or people who are interested can contact Jeanette Bate, Consultation & Communication Officer on 01606 868994 for more information.
