RECORD numbers of villagers enjoyed Rossett’s annual festival.
With fine weather tempting 1,400 people to attend the event at Darland Sports Centre, organisers hailed proceedings as a huge success.
The festival took place this year thanks to a grant from Awards for All – Wales, but it is hoped that the event will soon become self-funding.
Visitors this year were treated to a dog show, horticulture show and a whole host of stalls and attractions.
Festival organising committee member Hannah Groves said: “It was a great success. The weather held off and we had a record number of visitors.
“Next year sees the 60th anniversary of the Horticulture Society attending the festival so hopefully there will be plenty of celebrations.”
