A FARM shop is taking a short trip across the yard.
The shop, at Red Farm on Chester High Road in Neston, has operated from the kitchen in the farm house since 1997.
Now, applicant Mr Paul Ennion has told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council he is hoping to convert part of unused farm buildings which in the past have been used as store rooms.
At present they are redundant.
Mr Ennion says he would like to put the shop business on a more formal footing.
The main shop would have a small display area and a counter/sales area.
A room beyond would be used for storage, preparation and fridge area.
The family say their customer base has increased and they regularly supply Wirral Farmers Market and other businesses and private householders with high quality food including eggs, pork, bacon and sausage.
No objections were raised by Neston Town Council or by Neston Civic Society which said it was pleased to encourage farmers to build up their business.
Eight neighbours were consulted and there were no representations. The plans were agreed.
