DENIS Smith has wished Paul Edwards well on his departure but admits he doesn't particularly agree with his reasons for going.
Pacy wing-back Edwards, 24, rejected a final offer of a contract with the Dragons in favour of a more lucrative deal at Blackpool.
Smith said: 'Eddie's career was going nowhere when he came here. But he worked very hard and did well for us.
'I'm disappointed he has gone and we wish him all the best.
'He's gone for money reasons, which is a reason I don't always understand, as I don't believe it should come before playing for the love of the game.
'When I started as a player I could earn more money outside the game, but that's football today for you.
'But as I say, we hope he does well because life's too short and it's a fact players move on.'
