MORE than a hundred people attended a party at Westminster Children’s Centre to celebrate its achievements over the past year.
Parents, guardians, carers, and children were also out in force to welcome the centre’s brand new name – the Portside Children’s Centre.
Working in partnership with key agencies, the event marked the centres successes from the past 12 months and sought feedback from parents and carers of their hopes for the future.
The centre has high hopes for 2010 and parents were also able to chat to centre staff to find out more about the upcoming events and the facilities and services on offer at Sure Start Children’s Centres.
Sue Whalley, centre manager, wants more families in Ellesmere Port to join in the fun and make use of the services available on their doorstep.
She said: “We are so proud of all the work we do, and what better way to celebrate our successes than with the parents and children that make it all possible.
“We are really excited about 2010 and wanted to open our doors to more families in the community this year to share the wide range of services and support this centre has to offer.”
