Customers at Co-operative stores in Chester have been learning about Fairtrade food.

Staff at stores in Westminster Park and Dickson’s Drive invited members of the local community to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight 2015 by sampling products that can change lives.

The Co-operative, in line with their strong ethical commitments, stock a wide range of Fair Trade products.

Chester Co-operative Members Group chairman Bob Thompson said: “We want to encourage people to buy Fairtrade and support those who are being treated unfairly in the international trade system. Our group wants there to be greater benefits for farmers, workers and communities in the Fairtrade system.”
