AN INTERNET group dedicated to monitoring the activities of CWAC has been set up on social networking site Facebook.

Its creator Mark Williams set up the group with the intention of sparking some debate on what the new unitary authority is up to.

“If people have got issues with the new council, should talk about it. It’s about having democratic debate; not just putting a moaning letter in the paper, but getting people interested in local political issues and services and to try and get people engaged.”

Charity worker Mark, 39, of Gresford Avenue, Hoole, thinks the biggest current issue is what Cheshire West and Chester are going to do with County Hall.

“I can see it makes sense to have council services in one place and the rest reused or sold off,” he said.

“But are they going to move the entire Chester-based council into HQ?
