A FORMER Sir John Deane’s College student’s love of music took her to Salzburg University in Austria to study during the third year of her degree.
Kate Wilkinson, 23, has graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in music.
Kate studied music, music technology, history and German at Sir John Deane’s. She is now taking a PGCE course in secondary music, with specialist instrumental teaching, at Manchester Metropolitan University, in association with the Royal Northern College of Music.
During her studies in Newcastle, Kate performed with the University Symphony Orchestra and University Sinfonietta as well as singing in the university choir.
