A NORTHWICH estate agent is dispelling the notion of a winter slump in the property market and predicts a positive outlook for the New Year.

After an unpredictable year in 2007, with the introduction of Home Information Packs (HIPs) and interest rate rises, a growth in the property market is on the cards for Cheshire estate agents in 2008.

Andrew Williams, Director of Williams Estates, with branches in Northwich and Hartford said: “Talk of a winter credit crunch combined with apprehension towards Home Information Packs has made people nervous of putting their house on the market but the public shouldn’t be worried as there is a market out there for them.

“Whilst there is a cost associated with Home Information Packs, the public should be aware that there are various funding options available for people selling their home if they get the right help and advice from an estate agent.”
