NATIONAL Trust property Erddig is gearing up for a series of fun events.
On Saturday, an exhibition of work by Alison Craig opens and runs until Wednesday, August 27.
Alison’s work is influenced from her interest in the natural world, and in particular, in the countryside around her home.
Then on Friday, August 22, The Illyria Open Air Theatre Company entertains visitors with the classic children’s tale Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
Performances start at 2.30pm and 7.30pm in the Rose Garden at Erddig. Bring low-backed chairs or a rug with a picnic.
Tickets are £10 adults, £6 children and a family ticket of two adults and two children is £26. For tickets or information, call the ticket hotline on 01978 355314.
On Sunday and Monday, August 24 and 25, between noon and 4pm, children are invited to come dressed for a fairies and wizards fancy dress competition, or have a go at the enchanted garden trail and join in at the fun workshops.
There will be a chance for children to make fairy and pixie wings, a wand or have their face painted.
Finally, on August 30, textile artist Daphne Cowen brings her latest exhibition of embroidery landscapes work to Erddig. It runs until Wednesday, September 10, and is open from 11am to 4pm. Normal admission prices apply.
