A THEATRE company in Ellesmere Port is looking for houses in the area to become the setting for its latest project.

Action Transport Theatre is working on House, a series of mini-plays created by young people and theatre professionals revealing the diverse and hidden spaces young people and children call home.

Action Transport Theatre’s young actors will spend the next six months working with theatre professionals to create several short plays offering a snapshot theatre experience which will take place in houses across the town. The final work will be performed from July 20-27 next year.

Artistic director Nina Hajiyianni said: “House is an experiment in creating new work in non-traditional spaces, and one which we hope will capture the imagination of the local community.

“We are looking for houses of all shapes and sizes to become mini-theatre spaces, to which we can bring a variety of small audiences to see each performance. In return, we promise to respect your space and keep any mess to a minimum!”

Anyone interested in taking part, either by offering their home as a performance venue or as a young actor, should contact Jess Egan, project manager at Action Transport Theatre, on 0151 357 2120 or email jess@actiontransporttheatre.org by December 3.
