ELLESMERE Port teenager Becky Sutton has narrowly missed out on the Miss Cheshire crown.

Becky, 16, of Slackswood Close, Ellesmere Port, came fifth out of more than 700 entries at the Parr Hall in Warrington on Friday.

She said: “As I was the youngest girl in the competition I am proud of myself to get in the top five.

“I really enjoyed the experience and I have met people who I will definitely stay in contact with. “I’ve gained more confidence during this competition and I had loads of fun. I’ll never forget it.”

Fourth place went to Becky Casey, 17, from Warrington.

Third place went to 21-year-old Jade Pearson from Nantwich.

Second place went to Donna Hayes, 23, from Widnes.

Taking home the Miss Cheshire crown was Samantha Cross, 17, from Warrington.

Other awards included the Go-Style.co.uk Style Icon award, which went to 19-year-old Jessica Wilcock from Winsford, the Miss Popularity Cheshire title, which went to Danielle Britch, 18, from St Helens and the Miss Charity Cheshire – with the most funds raised for the Variety Club – which went to Emma-Jane Clarke, 19, from Warrington, who raised £1,000.
