A TEENAGER accused of committing 33 crimes in five days has had some of his charges dropped.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston Magistrates Court yesterday.

It was announced no further action would be taken on 12 charges, including five of disqualified driving, five of driving with no insurance and two attempted burglaries.

However, the youth has been remanded in custody and must answer to the remaining 21 charges at Chester Crown Court on June 13.

These include:

Three house burglaries.

One garage burglary.

One offence of taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Four offences of taking vehicles, aggravated by dangerous driving and vehicle damage.

Five offences of making off without payment from petrol stations worth more than £184.

Three offences of driving while disqualified.

Three offences of driving with no insurance.

One offence of interfering with a vehicle.
