A DAUGHTER was so impressed by the care that was given to her mum at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd that she decided to hold a race night to raise vital funds.
Sue Pritchard, with the support of her husband Den, raised £655 for the hospice in memory of her mum Pat Pay.
She said: “I still think of my mum every day and her final days in the hospice were so peaceful for her and my dad.
“Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they helped to keep our spirits lifted.
“I wanted to do something for the hospice in memory of my mum and that is when Den came up with the race night idea.
“The event at Ellesmere Port Golf Club went really well and lots of our friends and family came along to have a flutter.
“We managed to raise a fantastic £655 for the hospice and we would like to thank everyone involved on the night.”
