MY WIFE and I have lived in Neston for over 35 years.
I play the viola in local orchestras and am a vice president of Liverpool Harriers.
Before I retired I was a ships' agent. I was an ordinary working person who voted for a minor party as I had lost interest in any of the three main parties. They ignored the population and did what the EU asked them to do. They renaged on their manifesto promises.
I was nearly at the point where I thought it a waste of time voting when I happened to go past a meeting held by the UK Independence Party (UKIP). Here was a party that would stand up for Britain and ignore dictats from Brussels.
To the general public the UKIP is the party that wants to leave the EU but to do that they must have policies to put in place when we leave the EU and, indeed, UKIP do have a bigger, down-to-earth, common sense, manifesto with more policies than the other parties.
When we leave the EU this country will save up to £120bn a year. No British jobs or trade will be lost.
