ELLESMERE Port Music Society presents its Spring Celebration Concert at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall from 7.30pm on Saturday.

Tim Stuart will conduct more than 100 voices and young soloists, together with the Borders Sinfonia, in what will be his final appearance with the society.

The main work is Mozart’s Requiem, which includes some of the composer’s most awe-inspiring, devotional and theatrical music for chorus and orchestra, and will be followed by Walton’s Façade and Britten’s popular Rejoice in the Lamb.

Rounding off the evening and to mark the Queen’s birthday, St George’s Day and the Jubilee celebrations, will be Britten’s setting of the national anthem.
