CHESHIRE West and Chester Council has asked Ellesmere Port motorists to report potholes around the town.

The Pioneer took some images of potholes identified this week and now CWaC want you to help The Highways Agency fill potholes around the town that have arisen because of recent extreme winter weather

Portfolio holder Cllr Neil Ritchie told The Pioneer: “Our highway teams have geared up their efforts to tackle the spate of extra potholes that we have had from the icy weather and I would urge people to continue to report these, especially using the council’s website for highways fault reporting.”

If you spot a pothole in Ellesmere Port you can alert the Highways Agency by:

Logging on to www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk and clicking on to ‘Report It’ on the right hand side of the home page

Click onto Highways faults report form

On 'select category' click on Road surface (carriageway)

On 'select problem' click on Pothole

Type in the name of the street where you spotted the pothole on location search (right hand side)

The interactive map will ask you to drag a red flagpole onto the approximate spot where you wish to report the pothole.

Enter your contact details in case the council needs to get back to you.
