A MARKET stall could provide a one stop shop for people who need to speak to the citizen’s advice bureau, credit unions or the council.

For 18 months, Cheshire West and Chester Council has had an Our Place stall in the market to deal with enquiries about what the council can do for shoppers.

Now it hopes the West Cheshire Credit Union, currently in Trinity Methodist Hall on Whitby Road, the Cheshire Neighbours Credit Union based at the HHEET Centre in Westminster and Cheshire West Citizens Advice Bureau at 1 Whitby Road will all join it.

A proposal has been tabled for the council’s presence in the market to be expanded into a second, vacant lot to accommodate the credit unions and CAB.

Cheshire West and Chester spokeswoman Rachel Ashley said: “We took all three organisations onto the site on Friday to show them where we are proposing.

“We think it was positive but it’s very early days.”
