A MAN has admitted carrying out a string of crimes against women in Ellesmere Port over the course of a single evening.

At Warrington Crown Court this week, Daniel Bates, of Somerville Crescent, Ellesmere Port, pleaded guilty to charges of exposure, attempted robbery and trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence on the evening of Saturday, March 24, this year.

The 29-year-old admitted grabbing a 35-year-old woman on Cambridge Road, covering her mouth with his hand and attempting to pull her away. The woman escaped unharmed.

A second incident took place a short time later on Rochester Drive, where Bates headbutted and attempted to steal the handbag of a 42-year-old woman while his penis was exposed.

He also attempted to gain access to the home of a 15-year-old girl on the Wolverham estate by banging on her window.

Bates will be sentenced pending a psychiatric report at Chester Crown Court on November 2.
