AN ARCHIVIST from the Duke of Westminster’s estate will speak about the life and times of the Grosvenor family.

This month’s meeting of the Ellesmere Port Local and Family History Society will be visited by Eileen Simpson, long-time archivist at the duke’s estate.

Meetings are held in the Rolt Conference Centre at the National Waterways Museum, Junction 9 of the M53. They start at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm on Tuesday, September 20.

The cost for visitors is £3, members are free.
